3 Giants were demoted to OUT on Sunday Night Football

The New York Giants continued their busy Saturday by demoting three players — punter Jimmy Gillan, running back Devin Singletary, and wide receiver Bryce Ford and Wheaton — to the exit for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Giants have already announced that wide receiver Malik Nabers is out for the second straight week due to a concussion.

The Giants also placed standout defenseman Kayvon Thibodeau (broken wrist) on IR Saturday.

Wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins and running back Dante Miller were promoted from the practice squad for the second straight week.

The news about Gillan was expected after the Giants signed veteran infielder Matt Huck to the 53-man roster earlier Saturday.

Singletary will miss the second straight game due to a hip injury. Rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has hit the ground running. An impressive 18-carry, 129-yard performance last week against the Seattle Seahawks while taking over for Singletary. Tracy will be the Giants’ starting fullback again on Sunday night.

Ford Wheaton, who returned Isaiah Simmons’ blocked field goal 60 yards for the game-winning touchdown against Seattle, has a shoulder injury.
