If you’ve noticed that since announcing their Live ’25 reunion world tour, Oasis haven’t given a single interview, well, get used to it. According to singer Liam Gallagher, he and his older brother Noel Gallagher aren’t interested in luring journalists to reignite the sibling rivalry that broke up the band and led to them being laid off for 16 years, so they’re keeping mum.
“We don’t want to do interviews because we’re afraid the media will ask us prying questions and try to find holes in our relationship,” Liam wrote early Thursday morning (October 10). When one fan cheekily responded with some booster compliments for Liam, the “Wonderwall” singer was totally there for it.
“I think Noel doesn’t want to interview you because you’re more fun,” the fan wrote, to which Liam replied: “RESPEK.” He had a more cheeky response to another X user for asking about a potential joint interview. “I can’t be a tease,” Liam explained, adding “we’re not doing anything” and “they’re not getting a 1” as fans insisted on the same line of questioning.
Liam’s ditzy X persona has been quite evident since the brothers’ reunion, including last month when a fan asked him if he would stop “tweeting about Noel” now that they’ve made up. “No, it’s all over, Peace has prevailed“He’s the man,” Liam wrote. “I can’t wait to be on stage with him and blowing him kisses between every song.”
Oasis, who broke up in 2009, recently expanded their 2025 reunion tour, announcing two stadium dates in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. “People of the land down under. You better run, you better take cover… We’re coming. Welcome. Oasis will be touring Australia in 2025!” the band announced earlier this week.
The Gallaghers will begin the North American leg of their tour with a two-night residency at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium (August 24-25), followed by a concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field on August 28. They will then move on to two nights at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (August 31, September 1), before concluding the US tour with two shows at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles (September 6-7).
The tour will kick off with a series of dates in the UK/Ireland, starting on 4-5 July with two shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, followed by a five-night show in their hometown of Manchester at Heaton Park (11, 12, 16 July). , 19, 20).
