The potential impact of this year’s presidential election has meant that remaining silent is no longer an option or a tactic. Continuing the “V is for Vote” series launched in 2020, V returns with its latest edition in which photography duo Inez & Vinoodh bring together 17 of the boldest American designers from our fashion community to tell us why voting to preserve democracy is the most important thing of all. What you can do this season. Put on that blue jacket and get ready, because V is heading to the polls!
“I didn’t vote until later in life. I’ve always been overwhelmed by the politics of our country. There’s so much wrong with our political system, it was easy for me to feel like it was pointless to vote. In the end, I realized that the alternative was scarier because even if I felt By saying, “Fuck it, I’m not voting,” I’m essentially making myself powerless against the political machine. The 2024 presidential election is one of the most important elections in our country’s history. It’s really a fight to keep democracy alive and keep it from moving toward a fascist state. As a married gay man with three children, I am terrified to think that my children will be exposed to another Trump leadership. I fear that they will come back and redefine “family” in the “traditional” sense. It is surreal and frightening how the evangelical Christian movement and Republicans have come together and meticulously reshaped the country Worried that Republicans, with the Supreme Court behind them, will reshape our country into a more dystopian “traditional world” with more gun rights and gun use, the hottest thing right now felt like we were drowning We have a serious chance but we can’t be complacent now.

If there are any issues with your ballot, ask for help to fix any problems at the ballot drop boxes instead of leaving and coming back. Leaving or exiting your place in line may affect the time you can vote.
