Simone Biles got a special visitor on her Gold Over America tour this weekend — and he’s already learning some new routines!

On Saturday, September 28, the 27-year-old Olympian revealed on her Instagram Stories that her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, visited her as she takes her talents around the country during her ongoing tryouts in gymnastics competitions and concerts. .

Before her performance Saturday at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Biles uploaded a clip that appeared to be of her and Owens, 29, holding hands. She then confirmed her husband’s surprise appearance when she shared another photo of the Chicago Bears player holding a large bunch of 26 heart-shaped roses, while smiling at her.

She wrote on the photo: “Best surprise.” “Elisemph.”

In a follow-up clip, Owens can be seen standing on some gym mats alongside a few other Olympians who participated in the nationwide tour, as he appeared to do some choreography in front of his wife.

“Learn the round dances,” Biles captioned the clip.

The 30-city Gold Over America tour also features performances from the likes of Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Heasley Rivera, Fred Richard, Paul Gowda, and Brody Malone, and officially kicked off on September 16 in Oceanside, California.

After debuting in Milwaukee on Saturday, September 28, the event will then make its way to Chicago – home of Owens’ NFL team – on Sunday, September 29.

The Owens Bears also play on Sunday, September 29, during a home game against the Los Angeles Rams, marking a big day in Chicago for the sports pair.

Earlier this month, Biles told PEOPLE she was “so excited for fans to see the best of both worlds” on the tour, since it features “men’s and women’s gymnastics on one arena, at the exact same time, sharing the same venue.” floor.”

The 11-time Olympic medalist also showed her support for her husband during his final season in the NFL. On September 8, she shared her candid reaction when Owens scored his first touchdown since joining the Chicago Bears, which happened during his team’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Owens also supported his wife during her Olympic journey in Paris over the summer, taking a few days off during his pre-season training to watch her compete. As he told PEOPLE in July, it’s “very exciting” for him to see Biles perform at the highest level.

“It’s very exciting just because I’ve had the opportunity to see all the work she’s done before, and you know what? Everything she goes through and dealing with the media and everything, she still goes out and does it,” he said.

“It’s impressive and it goes back to her mentality and consistency in training. The most important thing is how consistent she is,” Owens added.
