Besiktas has many injuries to contend with as it prepares to host Olympique Lyonnais in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Paulista, the former Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal defender, will miss the match, as will Milot Rashica and Nikip Uysal. Meanwhile, former Arsenal player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not get the chance to reunite with former teammates Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Alexandre Lacazette. However, he has not featured at all for the Turkish club this season, as he is not in Besiktas’ Europa League squad this season and is therefore not eligible to face Lyon.
However, there is a place in the starting line-up for Chiro Immobile, while Chiro N’Dour, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, is likely to play in midfield, alongside former Tottenham Hotspur player Gedson Fernandes.
