Jacksonville Jaguars running backs Tank Bigsby (ankle) and Travis Etienne (hamstring) are likely to play Sunday against the Eagles barring a setback, NFL Network Insider’s Ian Rapoport reported.
Rapoport added that promising rookie receiver Brian Thomas Jr. will also likely play through his pectoral injury barring a setback, but Gabe Davis is considered more of a long-shot as he deals with a shoulder issue.
Etienne, Jacksonville’s point guard in years past, has missed the past two games after injuring his hamstring early in the team’s Week 6 loss to the Chicago Bears. Through five games and just over a quarter of that sixth outing, the fourth-year pro has 321 yards and two touchdowns on 72 touches.
He ceded snaps to the powerful Bigsby, who isn’t nearly the same threat through the air with only three catches but has emerged as another option in the backfield by grinding out 493 yards and four scores on 85 rushing attempts. If they both avoid pregame trouble, they could resume serving as a dangerous duo for the Jags.
