The 10-episode limited series depicts the rise and fall of NFL star Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate threads of his identity, family, career, suicide and their legacy in American sports and culture, FX reported.
In tonight’s new episode, “Aaron prepares for the NFL draft with high hopes, but secrets from his past threaten to expose his NFL prospects.”
The former New England Patriots quarterback was convicted of murdering semi-professional football player, Odin L. Lloyd in 2015. Lloyd was a friend of Hernandez’s fiancée’s sister.
Days after he was acquitted in a second trial on charges of shooting two men in a car near a nightclub in Boston, Hernandez died by suicide inside a maximum security prison in Massachusetts in 2017.
