Officially: Barcelona’s starting lineup against Red Star
As Barcelona searches for its third win in the 2024/25 Champions League tonight against Red Star, coach Hansi Flick has announced the starting lineup that will play at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
The Barcelona manager made three changes to the starting lineup that took part in the match against Espanyol last weekend.
Two of the changes come at the back as Jules Kounde returns to the team at right-back, replacing Hector Forte. Meanwhile, Gerard Martin gets a starting chance at the expense of Alejandro Balde at left-back.
Inigo Martinez and Pau Cobarci continue to play the centre-back role in front of goalkeeper Iñaki Pena.
Meanwhile, star midfielder Frenkie de Jong makes his first start of the season, featuring alongside Mark Casado in the Catalan side’s double pivot. Pedri has been moved into an advanced role as a number 10 with Dani Olmo dropped to the bench.
Rafinha, Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal form Barcelona’s attacking unit against the Serbian giants.
