Thank you so much for joining me in this match. Arsenal impressed with an away win that boosted their hopes of exiting the group. Juventus will now have to win as many points as possible to ensure qualification. To follow all the action, read the report below. We’ll have more coverage of the competition this evening with Tom Jarry’s Manchester City v Hammarby match and I’ll be back tomorrow to bring you live updates from Celtic v Chelsea. Until then, have a good evening.

Baukje emailed about the Eidevall/Slegers question:
I don’t think Arsenal would have bounced back with Edival.
I felt like the “click”/trust between him and the players was gone.
Also don’t think it’s Slegers that is causing a huge impact. It would have happened with another timer too.
I think Sliger is a good fit, and there’s already been trust with her and the players, so she’s the best interim player at the moment.
It seems like the players have relieved some pressure now that Edival is gone. This pressure occurs when the team and coach stop working but no decision has been made about stepping down. It doesn’t have to be as a person but as a coach.
If the Sluggers can maintain the pressure and keep them scoring 4-5 goals a game, good times will come.
Yes, there is a clear change in this Arsenal team. Sligers has said she will be in charge until at least the next international break, so we will have to wait and see what happens after that point.

I have to say I love the pun in this Arsenal post, and I’m also frustrated that I didn’t think of it myself:

Arsenal ranks second, while Bayern Munich tops its group. The German side beat Arsenal earlier in the competition and still have to play their third group match, which kicks off at 8pm GMT. Juventus remains in third place.

Barcelona’s match against St. Pölten ended 7-0, with Claudia Pena and Caroline Graham-Hansen adding goals in the second half. The defending champions still sit behind Manchester City in the group as City defeated them earlier in the competition.

Here are the three goals Arsenal scored in the second half:

Would Arsenal have bounced back if Jonas Edvall had stayed in charge? Or was René Sligers a major influence? Contact me and let me know your thoughts.
End of the match: Juventus 0-4 Arsenal
This was a professional and clinical win for Arsenal. They have made a strong return to form and have become a deadly team in the WCL and WSL. Juventus’ European hopes are far from over, but this would be a blow to their ambitions.

90+3: Can Arsenal score again here? Caldente doesn’t take a shot but wins a free kick. The opportunity isn’t going anywhere.
Share
90 + 1 minute: Delivery was fine but no one could connect. Juventus returned to the field but were out for a goal kick after Bonanci took it. Four minutes will be added.
Share
Minute 90: Juventus wins a late corner kick taken by Williamson.
Share
88 min: An Arsenal win was never out of the question, but this result compounded their impressive 5-0 win over Brighton. Rene Sligers is doing a fantastic job in Arsenal’s temporary bench.

86 minutes: Fox takes out Codina, a really strong performance from the American. Connie Cross is also in Walti.
Share
85 min: Arsenal are on the rise again with some intricate passes around the penalty area. Juventus is doing enough to keep them at bay for now.
Share
83 min: This would be a big result for Arsenal if they can see this through. I mean it would be an interesting finish if Juventus came back but they don’t look good enough tonight.
Share
81 min: Caldente has now scored three Champions League goals this season, Hurtig makes the first move and Ford keeps moving. Then Caldente pounced and completely defeated Juventus.

80 minutes: Fox makes a great run but Peraud-Magnine receives a cross, and the American was an asset for Arsenal tonight.
Share
Minute 78: Hurtig plays for Arsenal. The player moved from Juventus to Arsenal a few seasons ago, so it’s a slight return for her this evening.
Share
76 min: Kohlberg kept getting behind Blackstenius and the striker took full advantage, running all the way and beating the keeper. Arsenal will almost certainly walk away with the three points now.

Minute 75: Juventus is trying hard to penetrate Arsenal’s defense, but it stands strong. It was a good outing from the Gunners’ defensive line.
Share
73 minutes: The corner is blocked but Williamson sends it back for Peraud-Magnine to catch and clear.
Share
71 min: Van Domselaar looks perfectly fine to continue, so read on. Arsenal went forward immediately as Caldente had a kick on target and was cleared by Peraud Magnin from a corner kick.
Share
Minute 70: Van Domselaar fell injured here and the medical staff rushed to treat her. I’m not sure if this is a tactical move or if the goalkeeper is already in a troubled place.
Share
68 min: Nice move from Juventus but the final pass, trying to find Cantori, has too much for Arsenal to clear.
Share
Minute 67: Maccabi complains about Juventus players crossing the goal line into the wall. McCabe sends it deep and Ford directs it towards Williamson, but the defender’s shot goes over the crossbar. Juventus responded immediately and Vangsgaard had a shot blocked. This game is all or nothing in terms of action.
Share
Minute 65: Arsenal win a free kick after a challenge with Williamson from Bonansi. He is in good shape and Maccabi will take over.
Share
63rd minute: The game became a bit tense and the start was halted but Arsenal are still the team with momentum.
Share
Minute 61: Arsenal makes a substitution with Maccabi replacing Blaxtenius, and Juventus also makes a substitution with Bonanci coming to the home team.
Share
60 min: Bergamaschi is called offside and is heard saying “no, no, no no” to the assistant referee. Juventus’ frustrations are clear to see. Arsenal hit back very close to the second as Fox hit the woodwork, wow.
Share
Minute 58: Ford makes a great run and creates an opportunity that arrives, but Beccari executes it from a corner kick. The delivery is good and Williamson gets a good touch but Peraud-Magnine makes a great save.
Share
Minute 56: Cascarino, despite making some mistakes, was strong for Juventus tonight. She made some crucial passes and put up a good fight with Mead.
Share
Minute 55: Vangsgaard makes a great run, but she has no support, so when she crosses it is easy for Van Domselaar to catch it.
Share
Minute 53: Ford plays a good ball inside the penalty area, but Juventus defenders follow it well and keep it away.

Minute 51: A beautiful pass from Arsenal again, but Mannum sneaked in, so Juventus launched a counterattack. Bergamaschi sent a cross into the penalty area, but Fox was fouled in the penalty area and Arsenal were able to clear it.
Share
49 min: There have been some interesting challenges so far but no yellow cards, most recently from Meade on Caruso. Mead will have to be careful in the face of a tasty challenge in the first half.
Share
47 min: No changes for the first half but Cole looked to be warming up on the sidelines.
Re-sharing! Juventus 0-1 Arsenal
Can Arsenal maintain or extend their lead? Or will Juventus return to this matter? Everything to come.

At 5.45 pm GMT, Barcelona beat St. Pölten 5-0. Ewa Bajor scored with two goals, with Keira Walsh, Kika Nazareth and Claudia Pina also on the scoresheet.

This is Manum’s goal:
End of the first half: Juventus 0-1 Arsenal
Juventus faced significant early pressure but were unable to convert it into a goal. Arsenal increased their possession and chances which eventually saw Freda Mannum knock down the door. This goal was the first time Juventus conceded in four matches. Everything to play for but Arsenal are at the top.
Share
45 + 1 minute: 2 minutes will be added.
Share
44 minutes: Arsenal are playing beautiful football here, just breaking through Juventus. Their final attack ends with the ball being cleared from the penalty area.
Share
42 min: Arsenal want another goal before half-time but this time Mannum lofts it over the bar to score a goal-kick. You have to say Renee Sligers has her hand in the permanent manager’s position with these results and whether or not she will be considered is another thing but she has done a good job in the interim role.
Share
Minute 40: Arsenal opens the door for Juventus and Mannum beats Peraud-Magnin to score in the goal. Arsenal have their reward for all the pressure they put in.

Minute 38: Wait, I think the decision was in favor of Juventus. I don’t understand that call at all. But they are capable of purification.
