Elon Musk said late Thursday that he will attend Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, as the former president returns to the city where he survived an assassination attempt in July.
“I’ll be there to support!” Musk responded to a post by Trump on the social media platform X.
Musk, Tesla CEO and owner of the
Saturday’s rally will be held on the same grounds where Trump was shot in the right ear and one participant was killed when a gunman opened fire. The gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was killed by a Secret Service sniper.
In September, the former president survived another assassination attempt when a gunman hid undetected for nearly 12 hours on the golf course of one of his Florida clubs.
