Dragon Ball Z narrator and voice actor Doc Harris dies - News

Harris died in hospital Saturday morning at the age of 76

Image via Talk Broadcast Voice actor Doc Harris (birth name Gilbert Auchinleck) died at Vancouver General Hospital on Saturday morning. Harris underwent minor surgery last month. He was 76 years old.

Harris began his radio broadcasting career in Canada in 1966. He was known by names such as “Gil Harris” and “Doc Holliday” before taking on the nickname Doc Harris.

One of his most famous roles was as the narrator of Ocean Studios’ original English dub of the Dragon Ball Z anime and the first few films. He has voiced other characters as well in the Canadian dub. He was also the voice of Grogar in the animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Harris has had roles in other anime, shows, and games such as Monster Rancher, Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space, Aegis Defenders, Hulk: The Video Game, and Captain N The Game Master.
