Thank you, Shaw. It’s quite simple, really: Layzell passes the ball forward from the right, Shaw gets to it, dodges the sliding challenge, and tries to get around the keeper. Cole doesn’t go down easily, pressing into the corner, but Shaw shoots the ball from the right, crosses the ball, beats the keeper and slides his body into the net. A historic victory looms on the horizon.

Here is! Moments after making a great save, Cole misses. She tries to reach a corner kick at the far post, but Miedema pushes the ball back into the middle where Naomi Liesel is ready to score the opener. It’s just reward for City’s excellence in the first half.
