The San Francisco 49ers will be without cornerback Charvarius Ward (knee) and have wide receiver Chris Conley (oblique) active for primetime, and an NFC West showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. Conley returns after being sidelined in Week 5 while Ward suffered a knee injury against the Arizona Cardinals that ultimately sidelined him on Thursday.

This “Thursday Night Football” matchup has serious implications for the Red and Gold, who are looking for their first division win this season. With the way this early part of the season has gone for the rest of the NFC West, if the 49ers can beat the Seahawks on the road, they will own a piece of the division crown.

To help deal with some injuries to the defensive line and secondary, San Francisco upgraded defensive lineman Evan Anderson and safety Jaylen Mahoney on Thursday afternoon.
