A Justin Timberlake fan was left shocked after he was caught making a dangerous faux pas during the pop singer’s recent concert.

The pop star was performing at the Montreal leg of his sold-out “Forget Tomorrow” world tour when he approached the front row of fans while performing his song “Flame.”

While most fans were seen giving Timberlake, 43, their full attention, he soon noticed a woman who was busy on her phone. It seemed like she was texting someone, and was completely oblivious to his proximity.

Sensing an opportunity to have some fun, Timberlake leaned over her while singing in an attempt to get her to look up, but to no avail.

She was finally brought out of her phone stupor by the fans standing next to her, who nudged her on the arm.

Unfortunately, by the time she looked up, Timberlake was already pulling away, causing the woman to gasp in shock and frantically reach out to him.

She then dramatically threw herself onto the stage in despair with her arms outstretched, clearly angry with herself for her mistake.

In the clip, which has since racked up nearly half a million “likes” and 4.8 million views on TikTok, one fan wrote: “When you’re too busy texting and miss Justin Timberlake singing ‘Flame’ right in front of you.”

In his TikTok comment, fans joked about how they would feel if they were in the woman’s shoes.

One person said: “Girl, I hope this message was worth it,” while another said: “Whoever I was texting I will never talk to again.”

“How are you so distracted?” One exclamation.

Another wrote: “The way she grabbed his leg and said, ‘No, don’t go.’

On Sunday, Timberlake thanked his wife, actress Jessica Biel, for sharing the anniversary at his show in Montreal.

In a clip shared to his Instagram account, Timberlake announced to his fans that it was a “very special evening” for the couple as they celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary.

“My wife is here tonight,” he said, eliciting huge cheers from the audience. “And tonight is our 12th anniversary. So be nice to her in Montreal because she’s sharing me with all of you guys.

Last month, Timberlake issued a remorseful statement after pleading guilty to a charge of driving while impaired as part of a deal with New York prosecutors, following his arrest in June.

The former NSYNC star addressed the incident on the steps of a New York courthouse after filing a plea to avoid a more serious drunk driving charge over the headline-grabbing crash in the Hamptons.

“A lot of you have probably been covering me for a long time of my life, and you know I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself, and that’s not been the case,” he said.

“I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision, but I’ve had some time to think about it and I also understand the fact that you’re all here that I have a platform, you have a platform, we share that.

“So what I would say to everyone watching and listening… even if you’ve had one drink – don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There are plenty of alternatives, call a friend, get an Uber.”

He added: “This is a mistake I made, but I hope that whoever is watching and listening now will learn from this mistake.” I know I definitely have.

Timberlake continues his world tour in support of his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, which was released in March of this year.

He is next scheduled to perform at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, followed by shows in Philadelphia, Washington and Toronto.
