Alexandra Daddario is honoring her body after welcoming her first child.
On Wednesday, November 13, the White Lotus star, 38, shared the first photo on her Instagram account with her baby as she took a moment to reflect on what her body has endured since giving birth. Daddario was wearing gray shorts and a brown bra, and held her baby girl, who slept soundly wearing a striped shirt and brown pants.
“I play a witch on TV and gave birth on Halloween, but nothing could have prepared me for the magic and scares of postpartum,” Daddario wrote in her caption. “This is what it looks like for me 6 days after giving birth to my magical little boy.”
“Women’s bodies are amazing and I’ve never been prouder. Much love to all the new moms out there tending to their new powers (and new @fridamom underwear)! #fridamompartner.”

On Halloween, Daddario shared that she welcomed her first child with husband Andrew Form, announcing the exciting news on Instagram.
“I thought this was a weird bowl of candy,” Daddario captioned the October 31 post. The photo showed her newborn wrapped in a blanket covered in tiny candies, a perfect nod to the spooky holiday. The actress has not yet shared her baby’s name or gender.
Daddario is also a stepmother to Form’s two children, Rowan and Julian, whom he shares with ex-wife Jordana Brewster.
In July, Daddario announced to Vogue that she was expecting her first child with Form after nearly four years together.
The outlet shared that the Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief alum has been keeping her pregnancy secret for six months. Vogue also posted the announcement on its official Instagram account, where it shared several photos of Daddario cradling her baby bump.
Daddario told Vogue that she was “so happy” to be pregnant, adding that she had previously suffered pregnancy loss. “Well, I was pregnant,” she said, adding, “I had a loss.”
“It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific,” she continued. “This kind of loss and trauma is very hard to explain unless you’ve been through it. I really relate to all the women who have gone through these kinds of things in a way that I never fully understood before. It’s very painful.”
