Americans abroad: Christian Pulisic's return to the Milan squad? Can Weston McKennie and Tim Weah stay hot?

With Champions League football looming in midweek, this is the time when the top teams will be looking to rotate meaning the unpopular Americans could have a look. By liking these opportunities, it is an easy way to become a regular player in their side. Others like Weston McKennie and Tim Weah may get opportunities to continue their impressive form. The duo scored in midweek for Juventus and will look to do the same against Udinese during Saturday’s loaded Serie A clash for the Americans.

Let’s take a look at what to watch over the weekend

Weston McKennie and Tim Weah: Udinese vs Juventus

Saturday, November 2 (1 p.m. ET Paramount+)

Juventus may not have been at their best since losing Bremer to injury, but that’s not due to a lack of effort on the part of the American team’s players. Both McKennie and Weah were at their best trying to speed up the attack but they needed support from those around them. Facing a Udinese side that has improved this season, it won’t be as easy to score as it has been recently, but with the performances of the duo, this mat doesn’t matter.

Christian Pulisic and Younes Musa: Moza vs. Milan

Saturday, November 2 (3:45 p.m. ET Paramount+)

Due to illness, Christian Pulisic was unable to start in Milan’s last match, but their talisman still came off the bench trying to make things happen. Now with time ticking down, it will be worth watching if Paulo Fonseca brings him on from the bench again as the Champions League match approaches. As far as Pulisic goes, so will Milan, but if he doesn’t start, it could put Younes Musah back in the starting line-up as well providing him with a greater chance to establish himself.

Mark McKenzie: Toulouse vs Reims

Sunday, November 3 (9 a.m. ET, Fubo TV)

Mark McKenzie was a regular in the French side and has developed during his short time with Toulouse. Reims may not be one of the most dangerous teams in Ligue 1, but their attack can make things happen. With powerful and versatile strikers throughout the side, they can provide a unique challenge to the defence. McKenzie will need to be away from his teammates more than usual which increases the growth opportunities he could gain in France.

Joe Scully: Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Werder Bremen

Sunday, November 3 (11:30 a.m. ET ESPN+)

Werder Bremen can’t defend but they can make things happen through the wingers who will need Joe Scally to patrol. Scully hasn’t progressed as much as usual, but this might be the time for him to break out. In 10 appearances in all competitions, he is yet to register a goal or an assist after making five appearances last season, but if he can continue to improve defensively, that may not happen.

Anthony Robinson: Fulham vs Brentford

Monday, November 4 (3 p.m. EST and fuboTV)

Anthony Robinson has become one of the best left-backs in the entire Premier League, but he will face a challenge on Monday. Brian Mbwemu has been in good form for the Bees with eight goals already in the league. Robinson has been able to get going but balance will be key. If he can keep both going, there is a good chance Fulham can get the result but they will have to give it everything they have.
