Former NBA point guard Baron Davis shared on social media that he met JJ Redick at a car wash, where he watched the Los Angeles Lakers coach review film of the game on his laptop.
Davis described Redick, in his first year as head coach, as a “players coach” and added that “the Lakers are in good hands,” ending with the hashtag “#dedication.”

Redick received high praise from NBA fans for bringing a fresh perspective to the Lakers franchise as they started the season with a 2-0 record.

After the Lakers’ 123-116 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Anthony Davis praised Redick for holding the team together after facing a massive 48-26 deficit.
“He came into the huddle, at the end of the first half, just to tell us, ‘We’re good. calm. We know what we are doing wrong. Transitions. Transitions. We’re having a good look, just walking away; We don’t do that.” ‘I’ll take it all back at once,’ Davis said postgame. interview. “So, obviously, him not panicking made us not panic, and we were able to beat them and take the lead in the end.”
Redick, the Lakers’ fourth coach in a decade, helped the Lakers go 2-0 since the 2010-11 season under coach Phil Jackson and NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
The Lakers will look to continue their perfect start on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings at home.
