Italy Under-21s have qualified for the 2025 European Championship and are now preparing for friendlies against France and Ukraine, but Burnley talent Luca Koliuccio will not take part in these matches after suffering an injury.

The 20-year-old was included in the 27-man squad announced by Azzurrini coach Carmine Nunziata last week, in a strike department that also includes Leeds striker Willy Gonto.

Koleushu, who underwent surgery on a knee injury in December 2023, has since recovered and returned to Burnley, for whom he has played 14 Championship games this season, scoring twice.
