Chicago Sports Network is expected to appear on Astound RCN when it launches on Tuesday

Chicago Sports Network and Astound RCN have reached a relocation agreement, and those customers should see the new home of the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks when it launches at 5pm on Tuesday, the Sun-Times has learned.

Negotiations are ongoing between CHSN and Comcast, the region’s largest cable provider, but those customers likely won’t be able to access the channel at launch.

CHSN has already announced that it will be available on DirecTV, DirecTV Stream and U-Verse, as well as broadcast channels 62.2 and 62.3, subchannels of WJYS Channel 62 out of Hammond, Indiana. Fans must purchase an antenna and connect it to receive the signal over the air. CHSN.com provides instructions.

CHSN’s first program will be “Game On, Chicago,” a two-hour special hosted by Adam Amin, the voice of the Bulls, who will anchor the network. That will be followed by the Hawks’ preseason game against the Wild.

Earlier Monday, CHSN announced its three daily in-studio shows:

“The Chicago Lead,” which will cover the city’s sports scene and serve as the network’s “core show.” Hosts include Brooke Fletcher, Cameron Smith and The Score’s David Haugh.
“The Big College Football Show” stars former Michigan star Jake Pate and former Ohio State star Joshua Perry.
“The Big Pro Football Show” with the Huff, NBC 5 Sports Anchor Ruthie Polinsky and former NFL running back Clay Harbor.

“When we developed these shows, it was important to us to create a way to serve and connect with Chicago sports fans in a new and compelling way, creating a nightly and welcoming destination for fans of all Chicago teams,” network president Jason Coyle said in the statement.

“As part of this process, we are also building a cross-platform approach and a fan engagement platform that will be introduced in the coming months.”
