Fortunately, this is their last. Unfortunately, they have gone 2-7 over their last nine games after starting September 8-7; They have been outscored 68-40 over that span and have been outscored by the Dodgers 24-6 over the last two games.
Oh, and last night’s loss marked the Rockies’ second straight losing campaign.
The 2024 season was one to forget, but maybe things will change over the offseason. Charlie Blackmon’s retirement may be the first domino to fall.
Ryan Feltner (3-10, 4.66 ERA) will take the ball for the final time this season after a pregame tribute to Blackmon. In his last outing against the St. Louis Cardinals, Feltner threw six innings while allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts and one walk. He has faced the Dodgers five times in his career (four starts) and owns a 1-2 record and 7.36 ERA against them.
Feltner will face Dodgers left fielder Anthony Banda (3-2, 3.14 ERA). In his last outing against the San Diego Padres, Banda threw 1 ⁄ 3 scoreless innings of relief in a 7-2 Western Conference clincher on Thursday.
