Cora Jade faces her latest challenge with determination. Injuries can often wear down athletes to be active in real life. The same was not true for jade. After suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury, she dedicated her efforts to recovery. Although she has not returned to WWE TV yet, Roxanne Perez shared some thoughts on Jade’s progress.
When Cora Jade tore her ACL on a live WWE NXT show in January, fans were concerned that she might be out for a long time. She underwent surgery after the injury and began the recovery process.
NXT star Roxanne Perez was asked about Cora Jade’s illness during an appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show. Outside of the ring, the two are good friends who have previously teamed up and feuded together.

Perez estimated that Jade’s recovery from a severe knee injury could take up to one month. She confirmed that the timeline for Jade’s return remained undetermined, noting their complicated relationship and suggesting that Jade might look out for her when she returns.
“I think she has about a month to go,” Perez said of Cora Jade’s recovery. She further stated: “I suffered a very bad knee injury. Yes, who knows when it will appear? I have a bit of a love-hate relationship, so I feel like she may come to me soon or she may not. We don’t know. Maybe you’ll come back.”
Cora Jade shocked fans with her appearance at an NXT live event in Fort Pierce in May. She even issued a challenge to Roxanne Perez for a future title contest, which sparked anticipation for a potential match between the two. But it’s unclear how Jade will be used when she returns to NXT television.

Cora Jade is one of the rising talents in the women’s division in NXT. Over the past few years, she has been involved in several important storylines, especially with her former best friend Roxanne Perez. However, Cora Jade has been absent from television for most of 2023. She returned to NXT at NXT Deadline, and it looked like she was on the cusp of a big push. Unfortunately, her momentum suddenly stopped.
Jade suffered an injury during a match against Lyra Valkyria at a WWE live event on January 12. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Newsletter later confirmed that she tore her ACL and could be out for 8-9 months.
Following her surgery on January 23, Jade took to social media to share an encouraging message with her fans. “They say your darkest hour comes before your dawn. TTYL,” Cora Jade wrote. It was encouraging to see Jade on her way to recovery, and fans were hoping to see her back in the ring soon. This will finally happen very soon.
