ARIZONA (VINnews) – In May, Sen. Mark Kelly told Meet the Press that he would consider imposing conditions on aid to Israel if they did not “do a better job” of addressing some concerns. His statements raised the possibility of linking US aid to changes in Israeli policy, especially with regard to its handling of sensitive issues.

However, Kelly recently clarified his position during an interview with Meet the Press host Kristen Welker, noting that he “isn’t there yet.” He indicated that he saw “some positive responses” from Israel after I personally asked them to change their approach in certain areas, indicating his willingness to work with them without immediate conditions on aid.
