Years after they last played the Tennessee Titans in 2019, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry and Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota recently reunited.
The Ravens and Commanders squared off in a Week 6 matchup at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday that saw Baltimore beat Washington by a score of 30-23. After the contest ended, Mariota and Henry met on the court and hugged.
The reunion between his former teammates was as rewarding as it could be, and Henry was clearly very excited to see Mariota. And in the process, it made us feel like we remembered how exciting they were with the Giants.
Here’s a transcript of the exchange between the former Titans. You can see the video below.
Henry: “Marcus, what’s up?! What’s up, kid?! What’s up?”
Mariota: “You’re still doing your thing.”
Henry: “Marcus my dog! Oh, Marcus, what’s wrong?”
Mariota: “Dude! Are you good?”
Henry: “Hey, congratulations on (the new baby).”
Mariota: “Ah, thank you. My little man. Little man.”
Henry: “There you go!”

Mariota, who was once the No. 2 overall pick of the Titans in 2015 and now backs up rookie Jayden Daniels, looked like he would be a star for the franchise, but injuries helped derail his career.
The Giants also did Mariota no favors with a lackluster supporting cast and multiple offensive coordinators, setting him up for failure.
But Henry got completely different results. He became a star at Tennessee and is rightfully considered one of the greatest players in franchise history. Unfortunately, Henry moved on to play for the Ravens in 2024.
Henry recently passed 10,000 yards for his career to cement his Hall of Fame status and is on pace to rush for 2,000 yards in a single season for the second time in his career, showing he still has plenty left in the tank at 30 years old.
