Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has spoken out following the results of the 2024 US presidential election.

On Wednesday (November 6), Republican candidate Donald Trump declared victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, leading many women and members of the LGBT+ community to express their fear of regressive politics. One of those people was Musk’s 20-year-old transgender daughter, an outspoken advocate for transgender rights.

Musk has shown his support for the now president-elect on multiple occasions throughout his campaign with rumors that he could play a role in the Trump administration.

“I’ve thought about this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me,” Wilson wrote, while taking to Meta’s Threads after the election results came in. “I don’t see my future being in the United States.”

“Even if he only stays in office for 4 years, and even if the anti-trans regulations don’t magically come into effect, the people who voted for this willingly aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.”

In 2022, Wilson filed a petition in California to change her name, stating in court documents that she “does not wish to be associated with my biological father in any way, shape or form.”

She most recently spoke out against Musk in July, calling him an “absentee father” and claiming he was cruel to her when she was young because of her eccentricity. Speaking to NBC News, Wilson criticized her estranged father for claiming he was “tricked” into agreeing to her undergoing gender-affirming medical care.

“He was not deceived in any way,” Wilson said, saying her father read the medical documents several times. “They save lives. Let’s not get this twisted. They’ve definitely allowed me to thrive.”

Wilson has been active on Threads throughout the election cycle, with Musk making several media appearances to support Trump.

“I’m sorry everyone. The future doesn’t seem to be going the way I hoped,” one of her posts read as Trump began winning key swing states needed to secure the election, like Pennsylvania.

“Blame this demographic, blame that demographic” No. Blame the fucking politicians and oligarchs who made this happen. “Direct your anger at them,” one of her subsequent posts read. “I’m not saying don’t get mad at the supporters Trump/Voters By the way, by all means go ahead, you have the clear from me if any of you are Trump supporters, you can go ahead now and delete my page.”

Throughout his time on the campaign trail, Trump consistently addressed the issue of transgender health care as he claimed that children were receiving “brutal” sex-related surgeries in schools.

“Kamala supports the ability of states to take minor children and perform sex reassignment surgeries, remove them from their parents, perform sex reassignment surgeries, and bring them home,” he said at a rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

“Can you imagine being a parent and your kid leaves the house and you say, ‘Jimmy, I love you so much.’ He added, ‘Go have a good day at school, and your kid comes back with a brutal operation.’” “Can you even imagine that? What the hell is wrong with our country?”

In states where gender confirmation care is legal, people under 18 need parental consent. There is no evidence that children are subjected to surgeries in schools.

However, Trump continued to confirm this claim as he also mentioned it to the conservative group Mothers for Freedom.

“The transgender issue is unbelievable. Think about it. Your child goes to school and comes home a few days later to have surgery. The school decides what happens to your child,” he falsely claimed at the time.
