Fortnite developer Epic Games has just released a new update on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series The new Fortnite update will apply to Battle Royale, Creative, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. The latest patch is launching during the ongoing Fortinitemares event, and brings a variety of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, though it’s not without its flaws. In fact, despite it being a relatively minor update, Epic Games has taken the game down for server maintenance. This means that Fortnite fans will not be able to play any of the different game modes until approximately 11am GMT in the UK.

Due to the surprise weekend update release, Epic Games has made some changes to its weekly tournament schedule.
The first two rounds of the Trios Cash Cup have been postponed until October 26, while the Reloaded Platform Cups will take place on October 29.
As for the update itself, Fortnite insiders like Hypex believe it will lay the groundwork for a potential end-of-season event.
This could include an impending in-game cinematic. Hypex explains further: “We may be getting this other cinematic update. Fortnite just fixed the in-game video player to play videos at 60 frames per second instead of 30.”
In a follow-up tweet, Hypex explains that the event will feature a countdown timer with an attached logo, which should give fans additional clues about what to expect. The event will be held in Restored Reels, and will have a focus button for the video player.

• Players may not be able to move after leaving the changing room.
– When exiting the changing kiosk device in Creative Mode, the players character may not move.
Lego Fortnite
• Item icons display the placeholder icon
– When moving items in the inventory, item icons display a placeholder icon.
• Players cannot pick fruit from fruit trees
– Players receive a “Collect Timber” command and can only collect timber when trying to harvest fruit.
• Some animals are not opened in the Codex
– Rams, mountain cows, and frost wolves are not unlocked in the codex after interacting with them.
• The backpack may get stuck in terrain on floating islands or in caves.
– After eliminating floating islands or in caves/caves, players’ backpack may get stuck inside the terrain and cannot be recovered.
