Grammy Award nominees for film and television include multiple nods for Hans Zimmer, Atticus Ross, “Twisters” and “The Color Purple.”

The 67th Grammy Awards nominations honored musicians Hans Zimmer and Atticus Ross and films like Twisters and The Color Purple with nods across multiple categories.

Zimmer was nominated for the Best Score for Visual Media category with the soundtrack to Dune: Part II (2024) and also for the Best Song Written for Visual Media category with “Love Will Survive” from The Tattooist of Auschwitz, which he wrote with Cara. Damaged, Midnight Charlie and Walter Afanasieff. Barbra Streisand sings the song from the series based on Heather Morris’ book of the same name.

Atticus Ross is nominated as composer with collaborator Trent Reznor for the soundtrack to the film The Defiant (2024) starring Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor. Ross, along with Leopold Ross and Nick Cuba, has two nominations in the same category — Outstanding Score for Visual Media — with FX’s Shogun, which also took home several awards at the 2024 Emmys.
