GTA 6 teaser worries fans that their expectations are too high - News

There will never be a dull moment if you are a Grand Theft Auto fan.

Take-Two Interactive’s latest earnings call did not coincide, as some have assumed, with Rockstar Games dropping a new trailer for GTA VI, so it’s in the next theory.

Get out your face paints and red noses, because we’re clowning around again.

The latest idea is that the next reveal for GTA VI will happen during Waning Gibbous in December, which, if you don’t know, is a phase of the moon.

Basically, the first trailer for the game was also released during Waning Gibbous’ run, so the idea is that history will repeat itself as Waning Gibbous appears in the latest GTA Online teaser.

It’s a far-fetched theory, admittedly.

Regardless, a former Rockstar Games developer – who spent several years working on GTA VI – recently came out to weigh in on the game’s realism, adding that it “will blow people away.”

You might think that this kind of suspense would please fans, but apparently not.

The thing is, many don’t think GTA VI can live up to the hype – let alone exceed it.

Take a look at GTA VI in action below.

“I have no doubt that this game will topple all other open-world games — because that’s how Rockstar does it — but you can’t treat this game like it’s God’s gift to the world,” one Reddit user wrote. “It lives up to the hype.”

“However, I will be happy if I am proven wrong. “Rockstar has yet to let me down, when it comes to storytelling, world building, and attention to detail,” they continued.

“No matter their track record, people will still be disappointed. Believe it or not, people never finished RDR2 because they found it boring,” yourdragonkeeper added.

“I don’t know if I’d be surprised, but [I’m] “I definitely expect an evolution of the realism of RDR2,” Gavin_p said.

It’s a tough one, and GAMINGbible’s Dan Lipscombe recently delved into what GTA VI’s unprecedented hype could mean for the game.

Personally, I advocate optimism without extending it to unreachable levels of hype.

I’m not looking for the greatest game ever made – it’s simply a great game. And I’m pretty sure this is something Rockstar can achieve.
