Dunkin’ (formerly Dunkin’ Donuts) has been named one of the top 10 fast food brands in the country by Delish and has become a favorite food and beverage location across the country.

But recently, the beloved company has been receiving some persistent backlash online. One woman criticized the brand for getting rid of a fan-favorite menu item. Another creator, who is also a Dunkin’ employee, revealed what happens when a customer asks for thin ice.
Now, someone else has come forward to share some thoughts on Dunkin’. Showcase one product in particular that is getting a lot of shares on social media. However, this may not be the kind of attention the company is hoping for.
What happened at Dunkin’?
In a video posted on October 12 that has now reached over 1 million views, TikTok user (@4everurangel_) takes the world behind the scenes of Dunkin’s new star menu item.
As an employee at one of several locations, she shows off the containers being prepared for Dunkin’s limited-edition Halloween buckets. Items sold with 50 spooky-themed Munchkins.
As the clip shows, employees receive buckets with the handles not attached. The workers then have to attach the tapes to the container in order to pack it for customers.
The Dunkin’ employee also explains that for her site, the boxed item sells for $14.99

Viewers seem to enjoy the idea of a Halloween menu item. However, most of them don’t agree to it for one specific reason: cost.
In the comments section, viewers shared their disappointment about the price of the Munchkin bucket.
“I would pay for this if it was just a jelly filled candy, otherwise I wouldn’t pay that price,” one user said.
“That’s a good idea, but I don’t think I’d pay $15 for that,” another commented.
A third said: “$15 for a bucket of cake, yeah I’ll pass it on.”
Is Dunkin’ getting more expensive?
It’s no surprise that people are complaining about the cost of this Halloween treat. In fact, it has been reported that Dunkin’ has raised its prices significantly over the past few years.
Business Insider revealed in 2021 that the food brand raised the cost of its products by 8% in just one year.
In June 2024, Reuters spoke with a Dunkin’ representative, who informed loyal customers that the company would issue “modest coffee price increases” in the near future.
If consumers are only interested in purchasing the product for the carrier itself, the food company sells the bucket on its own for $2, according to Taste of Home.
