Every day I have the honor of representing the people of Pennsylvania. I fought for the people of the Commonwealth – our workers, our children, the elderly and people with disabilities. I have worked to protect American workers, make our borders safer, and lower costs. She fought corporate greed and supported working families. And I’ve always put Penn State first, no matter what.

This means being willing to work across the aisle to deliver services to Pennsylvanians. I have been ranked as one of the most effective and partisan senators in Washington because of the work I have done to limit the cost of insulin to $35 a month for seniors, provide health care to veterans exposed to toxic burn pits, and help create tens of thousands of patients. Thousands of jobs in Pennsylvania.

It contracted with insurance and drug companies to cap out-of-pocket costs for those receiving Medicare and allowed Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug costs for the first time ever. I have also resisted efforts to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits, and I currently work to protect and expand Social Security benefits for more than a million Americans.

Fox News poll: There is intense competition in the presidential race in Pennsylvania

Our veterans have made the greatest sacrifices, and they deserve the highest level of care and respect, which is why I joined with Pennsylvania Veterans to pass the PACT Act. It has since helped more than 32,000 Pennsylvania veterans get the health care they deserve after sustaining toxic burns. More than a million veterans across the country have benefited from the expanded benefits.

You have ensured that Pennsylvania is able to capitalize on opportunities to provide jobs to our communities. She fought against the administration’s plan and saved 1,200 jobs for Cleveland Cliffs energy workers in Butler.

Now, I fight to lower costs for Pennsylvania families by standing up to corporate greed that hurts working families. There’s no doubt that families are seeing higher prices at the grocery store. Big companies have escaped rising prices for food and household items while generating record profits.

For two years during the pandemic, corporate profits rose by 75% – that’s five times the rate of inflation. I call it predatory inflation, and I’m fighting legislation to crack down on corporate price gouging and go after companies that deceptively undercut their produce at the grocery store, making families pay more for less produce.

I’m also fighting to secure the border, which is an important part of keeping our country safe. I have voted more than 25 times to invest in border security, such as more Border Patrol agents, additional fencing, and screening technology to detect fentanyl in vehicles — unlike my opponent, who opposed the bipartisan border agreement the Border Patrol supported and called for. One of the most difficult immigration laws in modern history.

I also helped pass the FEND Off Fentanyl Act this year, which hits fentanyl dealers where it hurts — the bottom line. She worked with Republicans to pass the bipartisan STOP Act to combat the smuggling of fentanyl and other drugs from China.

While I was fighting for Pennsylvania, my opponent, David McCormick, was fighting for himself and his wealthy friends. He said he lived in Pennsylvania, when in fact he was taking a private plane from Connecticut to attend several campaign events. He hasn’t even voted in Pennsylvania for 15 years.

As CEO of Bridgewater, my opponent invested millions in Chinese military companies that produced fighter planes, bombers, aircraft carriers, and missiles. He invested in the largest fentanyl producer in China, while we know that most of the fentanyl trafficked in Pennsylvania comes from China.

While he was enriching himself, he was hurting the people of Pennsylvania. He sold off Pennsylvania companies like US Steel and bet against their success. He has laid off hundreds of workers in Pittsburgh and helped teach other companies how to outsource jobs. The contrast between me and my opponent regarding women’s rights is clear. My opponent called the overturning of Roe v. Wade a “huge victory” and said it made him “very, very happy.” I support the restoration of Roe v. Wade.

“All public service is a trust given by faith and received with honour.” Those are the words written on the financial building in Harrisburg where I began my career in public service, and words that still guide me today. The people of Pennsylvania have an important choice to make between a proven fighter for the middle class and a Connecticut hedge fund executive who only fought for himself, for his profits, and for the billionaires bankrolling his campaign. I will continue to work to reduce costs, create jobs, and bring investment to Pennsylvania communities. I respectfully ask for your vote on November 5th.
