The heavyweight contenders will clash in the second UFC event on the promotion’s 2025 schedule.
Jelton Almeida and Sergey Spivak are scheduled to square off in a three-round clash on January 18 at a location and location to be announced.
Two people familiar with the bout recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has not yet made an official announcement.
Almeida (21-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) has dominated pretty much every bout of his UFC career, with the exception of a knockout loss in March to Curtis Blaydes. Almeida recovered from that defeat last June when he made quick work of Alexander Romanov.
Spivak (17-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) has won four of his last five fights, including a 74-second armbar submission of Marcin Tebura in August. His only loss in the stretch came by TKO against Cyril Jean.
Additionally, the UFC’s January 18 lineup includes:
Gilton Almeida vs. Sergey Spivak
