The concert and the rest of the tour – which will be titled 4218 Tour USA 2025 and whose dates will be announced at a later date – will be presented by CMN (Cárdenas Marketing Network), the promoter of Luis Miguel’s historic tour, and Copar Music. Julión Álvarez, management and reservation company.
“We are putting together the tour now, because there are two possibilities: doing a few arenas or several arenas,” said Ricardo Alvarez, CEO of Copar Music and brother of Juleon, in an exclusive interview with Billboard Español. “At the moment, this is the only confirmed date we have; “Next week we will announce the full tour.”
After receiving many proposals for a tour, Ricardo Alvarez said they decided to join CMN because “the commercial agreements they offered us were the best option.”
The 4218 USA 2025 tour comes eight years after the legal process that began on August 10, 2017, when the US Treasury Department singled out Julio Alvarez on alleged money laundering charges and his links to drug trafficking. This caused the closure of his accounts on social networking sites, a veto on the platforms, and the refusal of American companies to work with the Chiapas-born singer, and kept him away from the stages in this country.
In May 2022, the charges were dropped and Juleón Alvarez announced in a press conference: “In 2013, I wanted to diversify and partnered with a real estate company to build houses. I didn’t know that these people were affiliated with the US government and that’s why I was associated with them. Fortunately everything has been clarified and now we will begin the process of re-establishing social networks, to be able to upload our music to the platforms and give the fans what they have been asking for for almost five years.
During that period, the 41-year-old singer toured Mexico with his show, recorded sold-out shows and earned the title “El Rey de la Taquilla” (The King of the Box Office). On the musical side, he never stopped recording; He did it first in collaboration and later released his production De Hoy En Adelante Que Te Vaya Bien, via Fonovisa Records, winner of the Latin Grammy 2023 in the category Best Banda Music Album.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards, he was nominated for a second time in the same category, now with his album Presente (also released under Fonovisa Records). A few weeks ago, he completed the work visa procedures for himself and his entire team.
He added in the press conference in 2022: “I learned in all aspects. Personally, today I have become more patient and calm. We can say that there was a Khulyon before what happened and another after it. Now I have the strength and wisdom to have a healthy financial life and know how to manage what I have. I have been through many tests, many investigations, and much discrimination. Today I can say with my head held high that we are victorious and stronger.”
A few days ago, Juleón Alvarez took to social media to hint at a possible tour announcement, and on Sunday (November 10) he posted a video in which he showed his passport and suitcase with the text “Los Tiempos de Dios son Perfectos.” (God’s timing is perfect), setting off alarm bells among his followers and the press.
Tickets for the Los Angeles concert will go on pre-sale on November 14, and the following day, general sales will begin via Ticketmaster.com. Below, check out the official announcement of their return.
