Marvel fans are at odds once again as they discuss the casting for the new MCU Hulk.
Marvel fans have become accustomed to seeing specific actors playing specific heroes, which has led to unease about new casting decisions.
Whether we like it or not, the MCU as we know it is ending.
After years of seeing the same faces take on the persona of these beloved characters, an MCU reboot of sorts is due.
Have you seen the final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance?
Such a move would inevitably involve new actors taking on distinct roles, but fans can’t seem to get used to the concept.
Over at the Marvel Studios Rumors subreddit, Louis_DCVN shared a leak about the MCU’s new casting for the Hulk.
They are not the originator of this information, it is Daniel Richtman. He’s a well-known leaker, and some would say very credible.
However, although he is known to be accurate about his predictions, some fans argue that it is because he is “repeating” information rather than discovering it himself.
In a Twitter post dated October 3, Richtman said: “Logan Kim (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Frozen Empire) has been cast as Amadeus Cho in the MCU.”
Just in case your Marvel knowledge is spotty, Amadeus Cho is/was the Hulk in the comics, a successor to Bruce Banner.
Cho is also much younger than Banner, so the casting of Logan Kim seems like a perfect fit… assuming this news is true.
As subreddit discussions will show you, not everyone is convinced that Kim will play the role.
“90% of the shit is [Richtman] He says it turned out to be a mistake. “The few times he was accurate, he was just repeating news that someone else had posted,” he commented honestly.
Rechtman’s credibility aside, there are also fans who think Kim is a bad choice.
“I didn’t like the acting in this movie [Ghostbusters]“So I’m not a fan of this choice,” Rostitustewarm posted.
As others have mentioned, this leak appears to be “in line” with other news.
User Miserable_Parking491 said, “It lines up with the leak that was going around r/leaksandrumors the other day about Cho being a side character or cameo in Brave New World.”
Kim may or may not be the next MCU Hulk, but regardless of that fact, fans aren’t united about the casting of the new Hulk overall.
