Mason Graham was taken second overall in the most recent mock draft; Four Michigan players are on the road for the first time

CBS Sports has released their latest 2025 NFL mock draft and the Wolverines have four juniors in the first round. Two of them are in the top 10 and one Wolverine is the No. 1 pick. Michigan State may be 4-2 and its season on the brink, but the Wolverines clearly aren’t lacking in talent and it shows with all these mock drafts that expect Michigan to have multiple picks in the first round.

“My company with Graham this summer was Christian Wilkins. And ‘With the First Pick’ co-host Rick Spielman took it a step further. Wherever he lands, Graham is a special talent and will almost certainly be among the Top 5 picks.”

Graham has gotten off to a slow start this season, but has been a terror for opposing quarterbacks. Graham consistently wins his game and the stone walls the linebacker runs his way. If the Bengals select Graham, he will join Kris Jenkins, DJ Turner, and Dax Hill on Cincinnati’s defense.

“Johnson was No. 1 on my preseason Big Board, and he only lasted to the eighth pick here because there were runs on quarterbacks, offensive linemen, an athlete from every universe, and a RB from every galaxy.”

It’s pretty clear that the Dolphins need some help in the secondary. Once Tua Tagovailoa goes down, Miami falters and when the offense can’t handle it, the Dolphins have to add defenders who can help. Will Johnson would be a perfect fit and a star role right away.

“Grant is massive but he plays like a 280-pound defensive lineman who happens to weigh somewhere north of 330. He’s stout against the run, can push the pocket as a pass rusher and gives the Chargers some much-needed depth. Oh, and there’s the Jim Harbaugh connection, too.”

Oh yes. It wouldn’t be a mock draft without former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh not taking the Wolverines. The duo of Mason Graham and Grant has been one of the best duos in the country at stopping the run. The Chargers will quickly insert Grant into the middle of the line to help stop the opposition.

“Loveland is listed at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds, and while he runs like he’s 185, he plays like he’s 260. He’ll run across his arms in the open field all day, and he has a tremendous catch-and-shoot radius; He is an accurate runner, and looks like a receiver at times in his motor skills. He is a willing blocker, but like most pass tight ends coming into the league, he will need to improve in this area.

The Broncos will want to add some new talent to pair with rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Colston Loveland is arguably the top tight end in the country and the Knicks could develop chemistry with the Wolverines right away.
