Injuries are an unfortunate inevitability in the NFL, and Week 7 was no exception. The injury problem has taken its fair share of bites around the league this season, and we’re seeing that continue this week with a few notable players going down.

One of the biggest injuries occurred when Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson ruptured his Achilles tendon in the second quarter against the Bengals and had to be taken out. An MRI revealed a rupture, confirming the end of Watson’s season. The 49ers may have lost another offensive star after Brandon Aiyuk suffered what the team fears is a torn ACL.

Raiders midfielder Aidan O’Connell goes on injured reserve with a fractured thumb and will be out for at least four weeks.

Below is an updated team-by-team list of all other major Week 7 injuries in the league.

Curtis Samuel (shoulder): The Bills were widely ruled out due to a shoulder injury suffered in the first quarter of Buffalo’s matchup with the Giants. Cincinnati Bengals Geno Stone (left leg): The Bengals safety has been ruled out after suffering a left leg injury. Orlando Brown Jr. (calf): The left tackle suffered a calf strain and will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the problem. David Montgomery (leg): The Lions returned to action in the opening minutes of the second quarter after being considered doubtful to return for Sunday’s action with a knee injury. Jaylon Carlis (calf): The Colts’ linebacker was ruled out with a calf injury he suffered in the second quarter. Cam Robinson (concussion): Jacksonville’s left tackle left in the first half of the club’s Week 7 game against New England in London. Initially, the team said he was being evaluated for a concussion, then later ruled him out once that diagnosis was confirmed. JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring): Smith-Schuster left the Chiefs’ Week 7 win early after aggravating a hamstring injury he was dealing with before the game. Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Monday that the veteran would not play in Week 8 against the Raiders. Jaylen Watson (ankle): Watson suffered a broken ankle and could miss this season. Aidan O’Connell (thumb): The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback suffered a broken thumb early in their Week 7 game against the Rams and is headed to injured reserve, meaning he will be out for at least four weeks and possibly more. Tyler Huntley (right shoulder): Dolphins quarterback Tyler Huntley left for the locker room after suffering a right shoulder injury. After initially listing him as questionable to return, the Dolphins downgraded Huntley to out. Tim Boyle came on as a substitute. Layden Robinson (ankle): New England’s right guard was injured in the first half and was initially ruled questionable to return. In the opening minutes of the third quarter, he was demoted to the outside. Demario Douglas (illness): The Patriots have been widely listed as questionable to return for the team’s Week 7 game against the Jaguars. As NFL Media reported, Douglas woke up sick and took anti-nausea medication and an IV, but it appears he’s been slowed down by that illness. Jalen Polk (Head): Polk suffered a head injury late in the Week 7 game. Summers (ankle): The Giants midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury. Jalen Hyatt (ribs): The Giants wide receiver suffered a broken rib late in Sunday’s game. Mickey Becton (concussion): The Eagles’ offensive tackle has been ruled out due to a concussion. Brandon Aiyuk (knee): Aiyuk was taken off the field and ruled out after suffering a serious right knee injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game that the team feared a torn ACL. Deebo Samuel (illness): Samuel was trying to shake it off, but remained on the sidelines before eventually switching to street clothes for the second half of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. DK Metcalf (knee): The Seahawks star receiver was questionable to return due to a knee injury and was seen being carted to the locker room late in the game. And while things didn’t look great for Metcalf, Seahawks coach Mike McDonald said afterward that the injury “doesn’t look too bad.” NFL Media reported Monday that the injury is believed to be minor. Jayden Daniels (rib): The rookie captain’s midfielder can be seen getting his rib area checked by coaches on the sideline. He was then transferred to the blue medical tent, and came out apparently still in pain. Daniels quickly left for the locker room. He was dropped at half-time but returned to the bench. Marcus Mariota plays quarterback. Daniels’ mother and multiple reports indicated that the X-ray came back clean, but he is headed for more tests on Monday.
