The next rain chance comes on Sunday. Rain is expected to start before noon, but it will be light. The rain will end early Monday morning.

Right now, most places look like they can expect less than a tenth of an inch of rain. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will only be in the 50s.

Prayers will go out for Florida today as they are now prepared to recover from Hurricane Milton. Milton is now back at sea but has certainly left his mark on Florida.

The storm came ashore in the early evening hours of Wednesday, but left its mark on the state long before it made landfall. Strong tornadoes moved through the state before the storm and some of these tornadoes were blamed for the first deaths due to the storm. As the storm dumped up to 10 inches of water on the state along with rising water levels, flooding became a problem during the overnight hours.

The good news is that the worst of the weather has now arrived in Florida. At first light this morning, we will begin to see the kind of devastation the storm left behind.
