Pat McAfee responds to Las Vegas Raiders Maxx Crosby

Following the Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby was surrounded by media for his post-game availability. Amid the typical football answers to the typical football questions, Crosby took the opportunity to respond.

Former Raiders general manager and employee Michael Lombardi appeared on the Pat McAfee Show the other day and made some interesting remarks that seemed to question Crosby’s character and/or his relationship with the Silver and Black.

The All-Pro edge rusher is never afraid to speak his mind. He said he cut it off.

“Something’s going on, and they’re speaking for me, saying I should be on the sideline when I got a high ankle sprain,” Crosby said after Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos. “But the reality is I’m gaining yardage and I’m trying to be OK and get back on the field. Everybody knows my intentions, and they try to speak for me, when, s—, if you talk to me and you know what’s going on, then we can have a conversation.”

“But don’t talk for me when you don’t know what the hell’s going on. These guys know I’d take a bullet for them, everybody in this locker room, so when the clowns talk, they get their message on a weekday to go on the Pat McAfee Show “And talking about what we should do and he wasn’t even a general manager, you’re a general manager for one year, so it’s embarrassing not to speak for me. I’ll speak for my friends, and that’s all that matters to me.”

Crosby’s words should not be misinterpreted as an attack on The Pat McAfee Show. Crosby and his titular host have a good relationship, which is why he made it clear that he was targeting the man who targeted him – Lombardi. The host felt comfortable about that, he said on the program.

“For those listening to the answer, more than 45 seconds later, he said, ‘There’s a certain guy who has one day a week and he’s a former general manager.'” “It sounds like he’s talking about Michael Lombardi, thank God,” McAfee said. “I So glad it’s not just all of us in this thing, because Max Crosby fights for fun. I don’t want to be on the wrong side of that guy. We like Maxx Crosby.”
