Patrick Mahomes, Xavier Worthy hit for a long time

The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense took some time to adjust to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon, but it finally found its groove when Patrick Mahomes hit Xavier Worthy for a 54-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

The impressive play came after a disastrous start for Mahomes at SoFi Stadium and effectively kicked off Kansas City’s effort to get its fourth straight win to start the regular season.

Wide receiver Rashie Rice suffered a knee injury in the first quarter, and Worthy stepped up when the Chiefs needed him most to get Kansas City on the board.
