As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself reflecting on the journey we have taken together as a community in the beautiful city of West Park. This holiday is more than just a time to eat turkey and cranberry sauce — it’s a time to give thanks for the things that matter most: family, friends, health, and the support of those around us.
At its core, Thanksgiving reminds us of the power of gratitude and unity.
Every day, I am grateful for the honor of serving the people of West Park. The resilience, compassion, and spirit of our community make me proud to be your mayor. From the businesses that make our streets special, to the teachers who inspire our children, to the employees who keep us safe, to the health care workers who care about us all, and the employees who keep the city moving – each and every one of you contributes to the fabric of this city that makes it Feel at home.
Thanksgiving is also a time to think about those who may be facing difficulties, whether they are experiencing loneliness, financial difficulties or health issues. I encourage everyone who can to reach out, offer help, or even share a meal with someone who may need it. Kindness, after all, is one of the most valuable gifts we can give.
Looking to the future, I am optimistic about what the future holds for West Park. We will continue to grow, adapt and rise to new challenges with the same determination as we always have.
This Thanksgiving, let’s take time to appreciate our loved ones, enjoy good food, and reflect on our shared values as a community. As we gather with our loved ones this holiday, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. This season is a time to reflect on the blessings in our lives, and I am especially grateful for the strength, kindness, and unity that make our community so special.
Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving filled with joy, warmth and unforgettable moments with family and friends. Thank you for all you bring to West Park and for making our city a great place to call home.
