Servite’s game took place this week against St. John Bosco Trinity League football took a surprising turn Monday with the Braves moving infielder Matai Fuiava to Kahuku in Hawaii.
On Tuesday, Voyava’s older brother, Robert, confirmed that the junior has enrolled at Kahuku (6-3) and hopes to play Saturday against visiting Campbell (7-0), the No. 1-ranked team in Hawaii.
The season move makes freshman QB Koa Malau’ulu the likely starter for St. John Bosco (7-0, 2-0) when it faces Servette (6-1, 1-1) in the team’s Brotherhood Bowl on Friday. At Sophie Stadium.
Malau’ulu made his first and only start in the Braves’ Trinity League opener against Orange Lutheran on October 4. Fuiava was reportedly recovering from injuries and was available but did not play as Malau’ulu rallied the Braves to a thrilling 28-run lead. 24 victory.

Rookie Liu Hannan has not played since suffering an injury against Chaminade on September 6. Friars coach Chris Reinert said last week that the senior, committed to Michigan State, is progressing in his recovery.
Last week, Servette started with sophomore Collin O’Connor at quarterback against Mater Dei and freshman Allen Kennett played fifth.
