Although Christmas Eve is as important as any other, there is one dish that will not appear on Stanley Tucci’s dinner table.
While timpano — a layered pasta dish that often includes vegetables, meat, cheese and eggs baked into a layer of dough — was a holiday staple throughout Stanley’s childhood, the dish likely won’t make an appearance this year.
After all, his wife Felicity Blunt — sister of actress Emily Blunt — isn’t a particular fan.
Stanley told E! “Unless mom and dad come, he won’t be there.” Al Khabar in an exclusive interview. “My wife hates it. No one likes it, except me and my son Niccolò. A tremendous amount of effort for just two people.”
With a preference against the drum, so beloved by the actor, this was the most resisted part of his 1996 film Big Night. “So it probably won’t happen, which is heartbreaking,” he added.
Nostalgia aside, the Devil Wears Prada star’s holiday table is sure to be delicious for the lucky attendees, including Niccolò’s twin sister Isabelle, 24, and daughter Camila, 21, whom he shared with his late wife Kate, as well as his children and stepchildren. Felicity Mateo, 9, and Emilia, 6.
