Even though temperatures will be in the low 80s, this weekend will be really nice. Humidity is low and temperatures are actually very seasonal! If our temperature reaches 80 degrees most of our day is spent in the 70s.

We like to say that this is the end of above-average temperatures as we head into October, but as we head into next week, the temperature trend for the week leading up to Halloween will be a bit too warm (think upper 80s) for most of us who want to… On the taste of autumn for a little longer.

There are two systems we see in the tropics. It poses no threat to Texas or the Gulf Coast. The area in yellow will bring rain to Central America but will be prevented from coming here due to our front. The area in orange could impact Puerto Rico, but would then curve northward into the Atlantic Ocean (not near the Gulf Coast).

The tropical season extends through November, but here in Southeast Texas we don’t see tropical systems after our first fronts arrive. As cold fronts strengthen, most of the tropical systems that form are blocked from entering the Gulf of Mexico and could have an impact on Mexico or the East Coast.
