Watch all six Resident Evil movies now without playing anything at all.
Resident Evil from 2002 isn’t exactly a faithful remake of anything gaming-related, but it’s a good time that fans enjoyed far more than critics. The same can be said for the rest of the six-part Resident Evil series from director Paul W. S. Anderson and longtime Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich, which ended with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in 2017. Fortunately for any Resident Evil fan Those looking to watch a few movies between the beginning and end of the series or those who just want to rewatch them all on Halloween, every Resident Evil movie in the live-action series is available to stream now, and it won’t cost you a dime.
That’s because all six Resident Evil films that started Jovovich as Alice are now streaming in their entirety on Pluto TV. For reference, in case it’s been a while since you’ve seen them, these six in order are Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
If you’re looking for one of these to start with, look no further than the original Resident Evil movie since it’s the movie that started the series in the first place and is also the movie that received the highest audience scores. None of these movies have over 70% on Rotten Tomatoes audience scores, but they’re a lot of fun for Halloween, and if you’re a Resident Evil fan, you already know what you’re getting yourself into with these. However since they set out they’ve had very little connection to the actual games that inspired them.
If you haven’t used Pluto TV before, you can head here to see what’s new on the streaming platform this month to get started. All six Resident Evil films are on that list along with others like Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and its sequels, The Godfather, and more.
One advantage of using Pluto TV over other streaming services is that not only do you not need to subscribe at all, you don’t even have to have an account. You’ll have to watch some ads during each movie to justify the movie being free, but that’s a small free sum for six free Resident Evil movies. And if you’re looking for more zombie movies to watch after you’re done with the Resident Evil movies, Pluto TV has also added other seasonally appropriate movies like World War Z, 28 Weeks Later, Evil Dead 2, and more.
Outside of these six Resident Evil films, there are a few others in the overall series that you’ll have to find elsewhere if you want to watch them because they’re not on Pluto TV. These include films like the more recent Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which was not well received at all, as well as some animated films like Resident Evil: Death Island. Netflix’s Resident Evil TV series starring the late Lance Reddick may have been canceled after one season, but it’s also still available on Netflix’s streaming services if you want to watch it too.
