The "strong genes" of Jack Nicholson's son who looks like him have landed him a new role in a horror film

Ray Nicholson, Jack Nicholson’s son, bears a striking resemblance to his famous father, which is what paid for his new movie.

In “Smile 2,” the pop star, played by Naomi Scott, is stalked by an evil entity that takes the form of various people, including her dead husband, played by the younger Nicholson.

One scene in particular shows Ray smiling wildly at the camera, not unlike his father did in the horror classic “The Shining.”

“My mom says, ‘Ray, you were a pretty boy,’ and then you start to look like your dad,” he joked on “CBS Morning” about sharing a smile with his father.

He also told the outlet that he and his Oscar-winning father “don’t talk much about acting.”

“I think I’ll probably stick to his word more. I think it’s important for me to find my way,” Ray said.

At the “Smile 2” premiere, Ray told Deadline that he and his father are “completely different people.”

“I was born in 1992, and he was born in 1937. The things that affect me don’t necessarily affect him. Obviously I love him. He’s my inspiration. I had dinner with him every night. I studied him, and that’s how I studied him.” “We’re taught to be human, so, of course, we’re going to be kind of the same,” the 32-year-old said.

He continued, “In terms of talking about it, if he told me something, I probably wouldn’t investigate it myself because I would say, ‘You’re the best, of course, it’s true.’ It might not work out for me. I love him. He’s my hero too, and I The luckiest kid in the world.”

“Smile 2” director Parker Finn said: Entertainment Weekly said he chose Ray as a reference to “The Shining”.

“I guess I always try to reference The Shining.” With Ray, the audition was very strong of course, Jack Nicholson is one of my favorite actors ever. Oh my God, it’s like looking at young Jack.

Finn continued, “What really struck me was how much he slipped into that toxic, charming persona that he plays in the movie. He can bring that feeling back. I’m really worried, but part of him tickles me, too.”
