The jacket was a clear jab at President Biden, who called Trump supporters “trash.”

The White House denied that Biden was referring to Trump supporters and instead tried to shift the blame to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who over the weekend referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating trash island” at Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden.

“Earlier today, I referred to the hate speech about Puerto Rico by Trump supporters at his rally in Madison Square Garden as garbage – which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant,” comments in This rally does not reflect who we are as a nation,” read a tweet Tuesday evening from the Biden X, formerly Twitter, account.

“Once it was all done, I started the truck. I honked the air horn and then he looked at me and said can you take me for a spin with this thing? Yes, I can do that. And you know, I released the parking brake, put it in drive and started “Moving forward.” “I think, as Trump said, we only moved a foot or two and then the Secret Service started staring at me and waving their hands and that was the end of the ride.”
