UFC 311 is set for January with the first two fights announced

Jelton Almeida vs. Sergey Spivak and Renia Nakamura vs. Moin Gafurov are reported to face off at UFC 311 on January 18. The location of the first PPV fight card of 2025 has yet to be determined.

The heavyweight bout, reported by MMA Junkie, pits 33-year-old Brazilian Jelton Almeida against 29-year-old Sergei Spivak of Moldova. No. 6 contender Almeida (21-3) defeated Alexander Romanov via rear-naked choke in the first round in June and returned to winning ways. #7 Spivak returned to the win column in August, submitting Marcin Tebura in the first round with an armbar.

According to Round 1 management, a bantamweight bout between Renia Nakamura and Moin Gafurov has also been booked for the event. The undefeated 29-year-old Nakamura of Japan (9-0) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Carlos Vera in February. The 28-year-old Gafurov (19-6) of Tajikistan last scored against Kyung Ho Kang in June.

The promotion has yet to confirm the reported matches. The list of announced UFC 311 bouts so far looks like this:
