Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars debuted the jerseys ahead of the team’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

The uniforms were officially announced by the organization on July 18. It was released in honor of the Jaguars’ 30th anniversary and is based on the team’s original 1995 expansion jerseys.

The helmets also feature the original Jaguar logo on the side that the team used from 1995 through 2013.

Jacksonville will honor the team’s history throughout the game, as former head coach Tom Coughlin will be inducted into the Jaguars’ pride at halftime. Coughlin spent eight years coaching the Jaguars, leading them to playoff berths from 1996 through 1999 that included two AFC Championship appearances.

Jacksonville’s current team has not seen a similar level of success, as the team is in danger of missing the postseason for the second year in a row after losing all four games to open the 2024 season.

Dating back to the Jaguars’ 2023 campaign, they have a 1-9 record in their last 10 games.

Lawrence epitomized Jacksonville’s struggles, where the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has struggled with inaccuracy. He completed just 53.3 percent of his throws for 729 yards and four touchdowns to go along with an interception to open the year.

The 25-year-old is averaging just 182.3 yards per game through the air, which marks a career-low mark over a full season.

Lawrence and the Jaguars will try to secure their first win of the season on Sunday while honoring the most successful stretch of football in franchise history. He will need to overcome a Colts secondary that allows 235 yards per game, the eighth-worst mark in the NFL.
