Bad Monkey, the Apple TV+ black comedy show with Vince Vaughn, is set in the Florida Keys and has fun shenanigans. The series’ soundtrack is a tribute album dedicated to the late Florida great Tom Petty, and each episode features different famous artists performing Petty’s songs. This soundtrack was released week after week, so we’ve already rolled out Eddie Vedder’s “Room At The Top,” Jason Isbell’s “You Wreck Me,” the War on Drugs’ “You Wreck Me,” and Kurt Vile’s “Sins of My Youth.” The season is almost over, and the full soundtrack album has now been released, which means we’ll be hearing even more songs.
We’ve already heard several songs from the Bad Monkey soundtrack, but the release of the full album means we’ll be getting two more songs. Weezer, a band with a lot of songs in their arsenal, performed Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ classic “Here Comes My Girl” Damn The Torpedos. Meanwhile, Sharon Van Etten shared her version of Petty’s solo anthem “Full Moon Fever” and the often-covered “I Won’t Back Down.” Listen to both covers below.
The Bad Monkey soundtrack is now available on WaterTower Music.
