Vince Vaughn plays the former detective in the dark comedy series Bad Monkey.
Based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen, the series follows former police detective turned restaurant inspector Andrew Yancey (Vaughn) who is drawn into a world of greed and corruption after a tourist finds a severed arm while hunting.

The supporting cast includes L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Zach Braff, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, and Jodie Turner-Smith.
The first two episodes of the series were released on August 14 on Apple TV+, with the final episode scheduled for October 9, 2024.

Is a second season on the cards?
At the time of writing, Apple has not renewed Bad Monkey for a second season.
However, Vince Vaughn expressed his desire to return for more episodes. Speaking in an interview with Paul McGuire Grimes, the actor said “there’s always that possibility” of another season as there is a sequel novel titled Razor Girl, which could be adapted.
“I think there will definitely be the possibility of another situation,” he added.
