Bachelor Gold star Joan Vassos and Chuck Chappell are looking forward to their future together after getting engaged on the ABC reality show.
And just hours after the emotional finale aired, Joan and Chuck sat down for an exclusive Zoom interview with Parade, saying they plan to get married soon.
On Wednesday night, fans watched as Joan, the first woman to lead the premiere spinoff, was chosen for Chock and gracefully sent home ER doc Guy Gansert.
Private school principal Joan and Kansas Chowk resident insurance manager met on the beach in Bora Bora and declared their love for each other.
After getting down on one knee, Chuck, who briefly left The Golden Bachelorette after his mother died but returned to continue his pursuit of love late in life, asked Joan to marry him.
The answer was yes and Chuck placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on Joan’s finger. “We’re engaged!” They shouted towards the cameras.

Have Joan and Chick started making wedding plans?
“It was just one day we could go out and make plans,” Joan told Parade. “We won’t be allowed to do that before now but I think we’ll be moving in that direction, but not right away. We’re kind of excited to get out in public and get to know each other’s friends and family for a little while, and then, sometime over the next few months, we’ll start Thinking about marriage.
When will Joan and Chuck get married?
However, when pressed for a date, Joan thought her wedding to Chuck would take place next year: “Maybe 2025. We want to get married. We want to get married.” We want to start life together. “I don’t know what my dream wedding would be like,” Joan told Schock. “This is very new and I never thought I would have a second wedding. I had a very big first wedding [to her late husband, John Vassos] So at first I thought it was a small thing, just friends and family. We did it [big wedding] Indeed, perhaps it only concerns us, our close friends and family.

However, Joan left the door open for a televised Golden Bachelorette wedding, despite fans being upset about Jerry Turner’s ABC Golden Wedding to Teresa Neest. After just three months of marriage, Jerry and Teresa divorced.
However, Joan’s journey was different, and she told Parade: “The more I thought about it, I think I loved the message of hope that we took this leap of faith and ended up in this amazing place and I wanted to continue to show that message to people who are in this strange place.” Of life where they are our age and single, this ending, this next chapter that begins for us, being together, getting married, might be something everyone would like to see. I would definitely consider having a more public wedding.
How was Joan and Chuck’s engagement party?
Chuck revealed that he and Joanne went to their engagement party Wednesday night after the taping of “After the Final Rose.”
The party was held in Beverly Hills at Gravitas Restaurant, owned by a friend of Chock’s. “It was perfect,” Chuck said.
“No one wanted to leave, and we needed some sleep…and we finally had to close the bar, and we said, ‘It’s time to go, guys,’” Joan said.
“I got a text from one of the Bachelor guys, no names, he left at 3 a.m.,” Chuck said.
“We probably had 200 people there,” Chuck said. “Everyone said if you get married, we’re coming.”
How do the two sum up their golden Bachelor career?
“The experience was something I never planned for in my life,” Chuck said. “I got into the show because of my daughter who applied on my behalf. I had never watched an episode of any Bachelor show, so I had no idea what I was getting into, and I did it specifically because I just wanted it to be new. So I had the opportunity to To go on the show…to meet someone who just knocked my socks off. If she was in Wichita or I lived somewhere else, I would go after her too. I mean, we’re so compatible and I love her to death.
Joan said she was surprised. “I was able to develop such strong feelings in such a short time,” she said. “It started on our first date at Disneyland, and it built into every interaction we had. Here we are.” 1731809194in such a good place in our lives already.
