Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink was announced Tuesday as the latest athlete to appear in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue in 2025.
During a May episode of Paul George’s Podcast P, the 6’4″ forward said she “always loved” the swimsuit issue and called it “super empowering.”
While a lot of attention has been paid to Caitlin Clark in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Brink has also been considered a potential franchise cornerstone for any team that selects her. Her immense potential was on clear display before a torn ACL abruptly ended her rookie campaign.
Brink averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 15 games. Her total of 35 blocks before the knee injury was second most in the league.
The Sparks as a franchise are in a constant state of flux. They have the WNBA’s worst record (8-32) and have the best odds (44.2 percent) of winning the 2025 draft lottery. Los Angeles hasn’t replaced outgoing head coach Kurt Miller either, after letting him go this offseason.
Whatever the organization’s future looks like, it’s at least fairly clear that Brink will be a big part of it.
